ADA Requirements for Toilet Partitions

 

  • At least one stall must be 60" x 59" (w/floor mounted w.c.) or 60" x 56" (w/wall mounted w.c.) 
    This standard ADA stall is required in all commercial and public new construction alterations.

  • Where you are unable to fit the 60" standard stall, a 36" or 48" stall is permitted.

  • Where 6 or more toilet stalls are provided in new construction, a 36" stall with parallel grab bars in addition to the standard stall is required. The length of this 36" stall may be conventional, but the door must swing out.

  • Local requirements and codes must also be considered.
